About the event

"Donatello and Sculpture in the Quattrocento"

This lecture and discussion begins with Italy in the 1400s.  We will explore the larger society that shaped Donatello's practice, the specific belief systems that were prevalent while he was sculpting, and his close personal connections to see how the intricate and beautiful sculptures he made were a result of a wide range of changes occurring in Florence.

Professor Cesiro of Hofstra University will be visiting Per Tutti on Tuesday, October 17. Celebrate Italian Heritage month with us by attending this lecture as she discusses one of Italy's greatest artists. Refreshments will be served.

General admission $10
